Hello, what's this? The events arm of the Minnesota Twins is promising a "big announcement" on Thursday.

The Target Field Events page on Twitter posted a cryptic short video Wednesday afternoon, depicting a satellite hovering over the United States and promising said "big announcement" at 9 a.m. CT.

Now Target Field Events doesn't just publicize Twins-related events, but also major concerts that will next year bring the likes of the Foo Fighters and Green Day to the home of the Twins.

But the fact Target Field Events tagged the official Twins account in the post suggests it could be baseball-related, prompting some extremely optimistic fans to suggest it could be an announcement the Twins have signed free agent megastar Shohei Ohtani.

Some more sensible fans have suggested that due to the inclusion of a satellite, it concerns the future of the Twins' TV broadcasting situation, which has been up in the air with Bally Sports North's owned Diamond Sports going through bankruptcy proceedings.

Could it mean the Twins have a new TV deal? Or are striking out on their own and launching their own channel? Or it turns out it is a big concert after all? Or it's none of these things and we're just speculating wildly?

We'll find out at 9 a.m. Thursday, stay tuned.
