Spurs Make 2 G League Moves
Stephen Lew-USA TODAY Sports

DEC 10 SPURS MAKE G LEAGUE SWAP The San Antonio Spurs are shuttling players back and forth from Austin and San Antonio.

The team announced that it would be sending Charles Bassey to Austin and Sandro Mamukelashvili back to San Antonio.

Mamukelashvili scored 34 points and grabbed 22 rebounds in Saturday's win against the Texas Legends, proving he belongs with San Antonio.

DEC 9 BLAKE WESLEY, SANDRO MAMUKELASHVILI ASSIGNED TO AUSTIN The San Antonio Spurs are making two slight roster changes.

Second-year guard Blake Wesley and third-year center Sandro Mamukelashvili are heading to the Austin Spurs ahead of their game on Saturday against the Texas Legends. The Spurs are off until Monday, so Wesley and Mamukelashvili could be back in time to be available without missing a game.

NOV 29 SPURS GAMES ADDED TO SCHEDULE The San Antonio Spurs have a schedule update after group play in the In-Season Tournament wrapped up.

The Spurs will play the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. on ESPN. Then, San Antonio will host the Chicago Bulls on Friday, Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m.

NOV 28 CREIGHTON UNIVERSITY TO RETIRE #3 San Antonio Spurs' forward Doug McDermott played for the Bluejays from 2010-2014, earning a Wooden Award, Player of the Year Award, the Rupp Trophy, Naismith Award, as well as a three-time All-American. He also earned several Missouri Valley Conference and Big East Conference awards.

McDermott is seventh all-time on the NCAA scoring leaderboard and has averaged 9.2 points in 10 NBA seasons.

NOV 25 'REAL SHAME' FOR WEMBY JERSEY ERROR San Antonio Spurs forward Victor Wembanyama has a difficult name to spell, but people who create the jerseys for every game are paid to get it spelled correctly.

Unfortunately for the Spurs' No. 1 overall pick, someone made a small, but bad error.

For the first half of Friday's game against the Golden State Warriors, Wembanyama was playing as 'Wembanyana.'

“I don't know if somebody got fired, but the Spurs did their job checking on my name," Wembanyama said postgame via reporter Tom Orsborn. "I don't know. It's a real shame.”

NOV 22 SPURS HOST SEASON OF GIVING DINNER. As a part of the annual Spurs Season of Giving, Gregg Popovich and the San Antonio Spurs hosted a dinner in conjunction with the San Antonio Food Bank to serve roughly 250 clients at the Frost Bank Center.

NOV 17 SAN ANTONIO SPURS LOSE TO SACRAMENTO KINGS 129-120. In the waning seconds, Kevin Huerter hit an uncontested layup to put the Kings up by nine, covering the pregame spread, which was Kings -8.5.

NOV 15 DRAYMOND SUSPENDED Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has been handed a five-game suspension for his role in yesterday's brawl, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

This means Green will miss all games until Nov. 24, when the Warriors play the San Antonio Spurs in an In-Season Tournament game.

NOV 14 GROUP C BRAWL The San Antonio Spurs lost their In-Season Tournament Group C matchup earlier tonight against the Oklahoma City Thunder, but the drama is just beginning between the Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves.

Jaden McDaniels, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green were ejected after their roles in the fight.

NOV 14 BULLS' ZACH LAVINE OPEN TO TRADE Two-time All-Star guard Zach LaVine has been made available for trade, according to Shams Charania. With the San Antonio Spurs struggling at the point guard position, LaVine could be an asset SA is interested in.

Additionally, the Spurs own the Chicago Bulls' 2025 first-round draft pick. However, that pick is protected if it lands in the top 10, so if Chicago is committed to rebuilding then that pick might not convey to San Antonio.

NOV 13 WESLEY HEADS TO AUSTIN The San Antonio Spurs announced that second-year pro Blake Wesley has been assigned to the G League.

Wesley has played in three games for the Spurs so far this season, averaging 2.3 points per game.

NOV 5 CISSOKO RECALLED FROM AUSTIN The San Antonio Spurs announced that 44th overall pick Sidy Cissoko has been recalled to the team.

Cissoko is yet to make his regular-season debut, but averaged 12.8 points in 29 minutes per game with G League Ignite last year.
