Vitor Roque’s agent confirms possible transfer exit talks with Barcelona

Vitor Roque could ask to be sold by Barcelona this summer in a bold change of circumstances at the club.

The teenage striker has slipped out of Xavi Hernandez’s plans in recent weeks despite his impressive start at the club in 2024.

Barcelona’s determination to bring forward his move to the club indicated Xavi’s faith in him immediately making an impact.

However, the pair have reportedly not spoken for weeks, with widespread rumours of a breakdown in their relationship.

Xavi has been criticised in some quarters for his handling of the situation despite indicating he is unsure on what to do with the 19-year-old next season.

The option for a loan has been suggested, but the Brazilian’s agent Andre Cury has dismissed that idea, and claimed he will ask for a sale if there is no change.

“We chose Barcelona because he wanted to play for Barcelona”, as per an interview with RAC1, via Mundo Deportivo.

“I’m certain Vitor is going to be a great player, but if Barca won’t play him, we have to look at finding a solution.

“A loan for a young boy can be harmful, because he could go to a club that does not own him, and has no interest in taking care of him.

“This is very dangerous for the boy’s career. The best thing is to stay at Barca, but if he can’t stay we will work to get him to leave permanently. “
