New IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley will wrestle his first AEW match since Revolution on next week's Dynamite.

AEW announced during this week's show that Moxley will go one-on-one with Powerhouse Hobbs on the Wednesday, April 24 Dynamite.

Moxley called out Hobbs in a promo that opened Wednesday's episode, and the two were involved in a brawl following a Will Ospreay vs. Claudio Castagnoli match later in the show with Moxley & Castagnoli representing the Blackpool Combat Club, and Hobbs, Kyle Fletcher, Konosuke Takeshita, and Ospreay on the side of the Don Callis Family.

Moxley defeated Tetsuya Naito to win the IWGP World Heavyweight title in the main event of last Friday's NJPW Windy City Riot show in Chicago. His first title defense is set for NJPW Wrestling Dontaku on May 4 against Ren Narita.

Although he has been active in NJPW and CMLL over the last month, Moxley's match on Dynamite next week will be his first AEW bout since the Revolution pay-per-view on March 3.

Moxley vs. Hobbs is the only contest announced to this point for next week's Dynamite, which will also feature the fallout from Sunday's Dynasty pay-per-view.
